Sisters,
I am attaching the latest 2011 calendar for the dry pack cannery. I
still have a couple of dates on the calendar that haven't received
final "approval" (they aren't showing on the master calendar) for the
entire region. That would be the dates in May and one other month....
Please note that the January 29th session (on the older calendar) has
been changed to January 8th. This helps us really because there will
be a Stake RS Women's Conference on the 29th, but the change was done
before we actually realized the conflict with the RS calendar.
Please let your sisters know that Nov 30th is the deadline for orders
for the January 6th and 8th cannery sessions. They both will start at
10am in the morning.
I am also attaching the new order forms (which are Excel based). If
anyone doesn't have Excel on their computer, you can use the PDF file
of the same order form, but it must be filed out by hand.
Again, remember that orders can be sent to me by email - only listing
the name of the product desired to order, the way it should be
processed (canned, pouched, or in bulk), the quantity wanted to order
of each item, plus the member's name, ward, phone number, and the date
they will go to the Cannery to help process their order.
Non-members may come to the cannery and order food through this
system, but we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE the members who have given them the
order form to attend the Cannery with that non-member. We presently
have 3 non-members who are taking advantage of the Cannery and are
thrilled with the experience. There will also be a Girl Scout troop
who is earning a badge by coming to the cannery (each with a parent)
to help in the Cannery process. So look around and see how we can
spread the blessing of the Cannery for others.
Thanks for all your help! I know that Thanksgiving week is upon us,
so your help in communicating everything to your sisters as quickly as
possible will help me tremendously.
