Information About the Stake RS Meeting

One component of our service-themed Stake Relief Society Women's Conference on February 6 is based on donations from sisters in the stake. We have chosen to donate to three organizations: Dress For Success, Project Linus (makes blankets), and Cell Phones for Soldiers.

Two things to note regarding these donation projects:

• We do not intend to burden any sister with unnecessary expenses. If they already have the items at home, they are welcome to donate them on February 6.
• Please make it clear to your sisters that there is zero expectation that any items are bought for the express purpose of donating them at the conference.

I will have more information for you next week. Until then however, I have included a list of items we will collect on February 6. Please announce this in your meetings tomorrow and give the sisters in your ward a heads up in case they are currently cleaning/decluttering.

Clothing Donations (interview appropriate clothing):

• Suits: Skirt or pant (conservative and updated) ALL SIZES
• Blouses: Conservative ALL SIZES
• Shoes: Dress, Dark (black, brown, navy, taupe)
• Handbags: Dark (black, brown, navy)
• Skirts and Pants: Solid, dark colors (no patterns) SIZES 12 & UP
• Jackets: Dark Colors (no patterns) SIZES 12 & UP
• Scarves
• Pantyhose only in black, coffee, nude (no white or bold colors)

Blanket Materials Donations (again, these should be scraps, etc. that the sisters already have):

• Fabric (cotton, cotton blends, flannel, fleece)
• Yarn
• Crochet thread
• Narrow ribbon
  

Cell Phone Donations

• Used cell phones (plus whatever they came with
• Long distance calling cards with minutes still remaining
